Precision stainless steel tubing, also known as stainless steel precision tube, also known as precision tube. In the process of making precision stainless steel tubing in terms of the smoothness of the appearance or in the wall thickness, diameter tolerance range, are more accurate than the average Stainless Steel Tube to a lot. According to the most basic standards, precision stainless steel tubing can basically achieve the accuracy of ± 0.05mm- ± 0.15mm. Here the scope of the tolerance I also briefly explain. General caliber is relatively small, thin wall thickness of the tube tolerance are basically in the ± 0.05mm. And relatively large diameter stainless steel pipe tolerance range is basically ± 0.05mm- ± 0.15mm.
By using 1.4307 welded stainless steel tube you get a corrosion resistant austenitic stainless steel with good formability. The steel is modified for machining and is available in a wide range of profiles and dimensions. The steel is often used for details within building and construction, machining industry.
The steel grade 1.4307 (also called ASTM304L) is a general purpose stainless steel, called 18-8-steel, with good corrosion resistant, impact strength and formability. The steel has improved machinability and it is suitable for production of corrosion resistant products by machining. It has good corrosion resistance to uniform corrosion and to many slightly corrosive organic and inorganic chemicals. It is non-magnetic but may become somewhat magnetic after cold working and welding.
Typical application areas for 1.4307:
1.4307 is a stainless steel which usually is more difficult to machine than ordinary carbon steels, It can be readily welded by a full range of conventional welding methods. 1.4307 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but it can be hardened by cold working.
